tesol专业简介：
今天我要给大家介绍一个新兴专业 -tesol 专业，即 teaching english to speakers of other languages，也就是英语非母语教学。
通俗的说，你选了这个专业就得用英文给老外（母语不是英语的人）授课了！
tesol 是“ teaching english to speakers of other languages ” 的缩写，中文翻译是“对外英语教学”。作为证书课程来学习，tesol 证书课程内容已经被国际上 100 多个国家的 8000 多所学校认可。
tesol 证书持有者可以在全球范围内从事英语作为第二外语教学 ﹙esl，english as a secon language﹚，其含金量和认可度很大，可以作为国际公认的国际英语教师资格证书和英语教学行业职业资格的权威国际证明。
申请有什么要求 ?
1、这个专业申请来说相对比较容易。对相关专业背景一般没有特殊的要求，雅思成绩要求也相对比较低，一般 6.5 分 ﹙ 小分 6 分 ﹚ 就可以啦，而且学费相对便宜一些。
2、这个专业因为是新兴起的，所以目前申请的小伙伴比较少，但是别小瞧这个专业，它的学历是世界公认的。而且，你们毕业以后竞争压力会相对其他热门专业小一点。
工作内容是什么 ?
评估母语为非英语的学生学习语言的困难程度；
单独并以小组为单位在常规课堂外教授学生，并帮助学生布置教室环境；
使用各种教学方法包括讲座和视频示范教授学生的英语语言技能；
通过为英文学习困难的学生设计特别教学方案帮助其他教师提高他们学生的英语水平；
设计和制作教材，并改进现有教材；
制备教学大纲和教学目标；
排课、批改作业并为考试评等级；
分析、记录进度并向其他班的老师、家长和学生报告进度；
就业前景怎么样呢 ?
毕业生的就业方向大致有 4 类：教师、出版、研究、政府职员。
它就业范围比较广，一般包括国外大学语言中心，tafe，政府社区服务机构的英语教学，非盈利机构 ﹙ 如联合国，红十字会和其他各种基金会 ﹚ 语言学校等教学科研工作。回国后就业率比较高，比如幼儿及中小学、各种语言培训中心，外企人力资源，社会团体等，当然，这些都不是重点，重点是能挣很多呢 !
