This will affect international stuents attempting to enter Canaa an obtain a new stuy permit to atten classes commencing after December 31,2018.

This is because existing stuy permit holers are currently exempt from proviing biometrics unless they were require to o so when they originally applie for ocuments in their home country.

Changes effective December 31,2018 - stuents may require aitional time
Immigration,Refugees an Citizenship Canaa has brought in new entry requirements for international stuents (an other foreign nationals) coming to Canaa. As of December 31,applicants from most of the worl will nee to have biometrics one,prior to applying for a stuy permit. This means it may take longer to get a stuy permit,an stuents may nee to travel to get to an approve biometric centre before they can apply for a stuy permit.
It is essential that stuents get biometrics one as early as possible to avoi elays with their stuy permit application.
