在做题的过程中,大家不知道有没有遇到过类似这样的情景,“这个单词我明明认真背诵过,但是放在文中这个句子里进行理解,却怎么解释不通呢?”这是因为我们在背诵单词时,会习惯于经验性地根据单词最常见的意思来进行记忆,当然这种方式是值得肯定的,在大多数的情况下,单词是以最常见的意思来呈现的。
不过有时候雅思阅读的文本中,为了区分不同语言水平的考生,会提高一下难度,考察某些单词的不常见的意思或用法,这就是我们所说的“熟词僻义”。
1.Account
