护照号与VISA number不是同样的概念。
护照号是由一位字母和八位数字组成，在护照第一页右上角。字母代表了护照类型，
G——公务护照；P——普通因私护照； W——外交护照；
visa number位于护照的签证页，美国签证比较常见。
美国签证中心给出的visa number定位方法：The visa number can be found on the Visa sticker on your passport page. The number can be 8 or more characters long, and in RED color, located towards the bottom right hand quarter of the Visa sticker.
意思是说，Visa number 位于签证的右下角，是8位红色加长的数字。
